One of the best shafts on the market todayJan 22, 2008 The Aldila NV65 Stiff shaft has a low-mid trajectory bend point. With that shaft characteristic I installed it in my PING G5 10.5* head. With a swingspeed of 104-108 mph my launch angle is 12.5* which gives my optimum ball carry. I love the trajectory and the dispersion rate is very tight with a torque rating of 3.5*. In other words the ball goes where you aim it. The shaft offers nice feedback as well. On a frequency counter the cpm's of the stiff shaft are on the low end of stiff so it does not play as stiff as some other shafts. (In other words, not all stiff shafts play at the same stiffness). I would recommend this shaft for players with above average swingspeeds.
aldila nvFeb 28, 2007 this is the best shaft i have ever used. i would recommend it to anyone who wants to see improvement in their distance and see their shots become more accurate. these shafts aren't cheap, but they will make your club better.
AldilaJan 04, 2007 It seems this is the shaft for better than average amateur players. I did reshafted using Aldila 65.350 on my oldy Callaway Steelhead, and indeed, my old Steel Head revived. Also it added 15 more yars of distance. The quality of product is excellent and anyone who considers reshafting may wish look into this ---.
