He mainly teaches and builds clubs in the Triad area of North Carolina but has also been spotted in other areas of the country such as Atlanta, Ga. and Myrtle Beach, SC. Joey has helped everyone from jr golfers all the way to pro tour players.

"I started Comparable Golf because I understand that there are many golfers out there that simply cannot afford my own custom golf clubs that are custom fitted, have the shafts frequency matched and spine-aligned/balanced, etc., and they cant afford even those golf clubs being made by Callaway, Taylor Made, Nike, etc.", stated Joey O'Connor. "I really want to be able to help every single golfer out there no matter what their budget is for equipment. Comparable Golf is a great source for that golfer to get quality equipment at an affordable price."
"Obviously it takes more than just a golfers' equipment to play better golf," continued Joey. "You have to have a swing to go with the equipment right? But did you know that something like only 50% of all golfers take a golf lesson, and then something like only 10% of those golfers take more than 1 lesson each year. And lets not forget that to really step it up, a player really needs to make sure that their equipment matches them - you know, get custom fitted. And the percentage of golfers that have properly fitted equipment is really low.. something like only 10%.. And when I say fitted I dont mean filling out forms on the internet.. You will never see any fitting forms on any of the golf websites that I run or have my name on.. I mean going in person to a specialized fitter that knows what to look for in the characteristics of the swing of an individual and their body type and not just those that put you on a computer, print something out, and say here ya go.. this is what you need! That just doesnt work in my book." continue reading at GolfByJoey.com
